Tackling the taboo and shining a light on cancer...
How a Southampton radio station has been shining a light on cancer. Awaaz FM, available via this link, is a vibrant community radio station serving Southampton and Hampshire. Grants for your community
Funded by Wessex Cancer Alliance, the Communities Against Cancer project, available at this link, wants to reach out to those who may not have previously heard (or who have felt unable to act upon) public health advice in regards to cancer awareness and prevention. Small grants (up to £700) are now available to individuals, groups, not for profit organisations to be creative and find their own ways to deliver these messages to the people... read more »

Grants available for communities
Communities Against Cancer is a project to help people reduce their risk of cancer, be aware of the signs and symptoms of cancer, and seek help at an earlier stage. Funded by Wessex Cancer Alliance, the project aims to benefit people who are less likely to know how to look after their health or are less able to do so.
