Leah Campbell, Action Hampshire's CEO, is hosting a Zoom meeting on 18 May, 13:30-14:30 with #BeeWell and local VCSE organisations working with, or with an interest in, young people.
#BeeWell is a youth-centred programme to improve the wellbeing of young people across England. #BeeWell hears the voices of young people through an annual wellbeing census delivered to secondary schools and builds a coalition of partners across civil society, local government and health to act on the results.
#BeeWell grew from concerns that, relative to peers internationally, young people’s wellbeing and life satisfaction in Britain remains persistently low. The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted both the issues young people face and the value and importance that young people, their parents and carers and wider society place on wellbeing. By 2030 the founding partners of #BeeWell aim to create a public policy agenda for young people that gives equal weight to attainment and wellbeing, using reliable data to inspire improved outcomes for both.
Following the initial success of #BeeWell in Greater Manchester, Phase 2 of the programme will be launched across Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth and Southampton (HIPS) from September 2023.
The meeting on 18 May will be an informational meeting to find out more about #BeeWell and how Hampshire & IoW VCSE organisations can be involved.
