Free Online Workshop: Cyber Security for Charity Staff and Volunteers 09:30-11:30 14/07/2023

Charities are at considerable risk of a cyber attack by malicious actors from across the world. Charities can hold very sensitive information in their systems, but do not have access to the same security resources as larger organisations.

The cyber security threat intelligence (CTI) conducted by Black Arrow Cyber Consulting shows that attackers consider charities to be legitimate targets for extortion or to harvest data for use in other attacks. The National Cyber Security Centre earlier this year reported that “the charity sector faces the same cyber risks as private sector and government organisations but there are some reasons why charities could be particularly vulnerable to cyber attack”.

Participants do not need to have any prior knowledge of cyber security to benefit from these workshops.

All Black Arrow training events are intended to be enjoyable and a safe space for participants to discuss and ask questions. For this reason, the number of places is limited for each event. These events are designed for charity workers and are not intended for technology teams or providers.
