HSAB and SAL Network have arranged for a free virtual awareness raising session on Financial Abuse on 28 Sept 22 (0900 – 1230).
The Care Act 2014 describes ‘financial abuse’ as a type of abuse which includes having money or other property stolen, being defrauded, being put under pressure in relation to money or other property and having money or other property misused. While the Care Act 2014 definition is clear, financial abuse take many forms. It’s a type of abuse that can be subtle and is often hard to detect.
This workshop style event is designed to raise awareness of different types of financial abuse, different services that are available to provide support to victims, as well as how and who to report concerns, including the range of people who might perpetrate such abuse.
