National Safeguarding Adults Week – Virtual drop in event

As part of National Safeguarding Adults Week, a virtual drop-in session has been arranged with Jane Hughes Managing Director, Making Connections, Isle of Wight Ltd and Jane Lawson, Independent Scrutineer, Hampshire Safeguarding Adults Board. The session details are:
Safeguarding Concerns - Wednesday 23rd November 22 (13:15-14:15hrs)
This session is intended to encourage people to look at the resources provided on the Safeguarding Week 2022 webpage via this link and aims to open up conversation around the following topics:
- How do we understand and work with safeguarding concerns?
- What are the benefits of raising a concern with the local authority (for all parties)?
- What are the challenges?
- What might happen next after a concern is raised with the local authority?
- What helps decision making?
The session will consist of a facilitated hour of questions and responses exploring the above questions plus others. The session begins with a short introduction at 13:15 hrs. The session will not address questions about specific circumstances.
All multiagency staff within organisations working across the Hampshire, IOW, Portsmouth and Southampton are welcome to attend. Bookings for this event are now being taken through the HSAB Eventbrite page via this link.
