What is the Real Talk webinar?
This one-hour introduction to suicide awareness explores a simple framework for conversations with someone who may be having thoughts of suicide. Ideal for anyone new to the topic of suicide or those looking to refresh their skills.
Real Talk is a good starting point for those who would like to learn more about suicide prevention. Many participants go on to attend one of our longer training sessions to further develop their skills.

Some common myths about suicide, how they affect us and how they affect us
How you can start conversations about suicide in your workplace or community
Practical resources to support ourselves and people we care about

Funding Eligibility
To be eligible for a place, you must currently working or volunteering in Hampshire. We will review all registered learners and reserve to right to cancel bookings from those ineligible for the funding.

Pre-training requirement
No previous experience or training is necessary. Participants will be asked to self-reflect and empathise with a person having thoughts of suicide. There is no expectation of participants to share their personal experiences.

Cancellation
Places on this training are highly sought after so please only book if you know you can attend. If you need to cancel your booking, please let us know as soon as possible.
