Treasure Island

Blue Apple Theatre presents Treasure Island, a bold and imaginative re‑telling of the classic tale, performed by a cast of neuro‑disabled actors.
Old Jim Hawkins still visits The Admiral, the inn he once ran with his parents. Once a year, on the anniversary of the original events, he retells his extraordinary story – with the drinkers in the pub stepping in to play each part. Through raw storytelling and ensemble performance, the audience is transported from Bristol to a distant island with buried treasure, and back again before last orders.
This full‑scale production by Blue Apple Theatre’s Winchester stage company is presented at Theatre Royal Winchester with professional set, costume, lighting and technical support. Performances are fully captioned, and a livestream of the Thursday evening show allows audiences to watch from home.
Treasure Island is a powerful example of inclusive theatre, offering audiences the opportunity to experience the creativity, skill and presence of neuro‑disabled performers on a major stage.
