Our Communities Against Cancer project is funded by Wessex Cancer Alliance and is focusing on improving early diagnosis of cancer and reaching communities experiencing health inequalities. This is important as many groups face poorer health outcomes and health inequalities. It is estimated that the region of 500,000 people in the UK have the pre-cancerous condition, Barrett’s Oesophagus, and most are unaware of it.
